I love that October is dedicated to the Rosary don't you? It's a beautiful devotion and I think a fantastic way we can draw our families together to meditate on the life of Christ as we sit at the school of Mary.

Save this image and then you'll be able to choose how you want to print it out to color in. I think it might be nice to print it on cardstock and use watercolor paints because of the painterly style of the drawing.

One of the books that made a lasting impression on me as a young adult was The Story of a Soul. A simple way to love God in all we do. Sometimes it can be overwhelming to think we have to aspire to the greatness we envision the lives of saints to be. In reality our good Jesus is simply calling us to follow in his footsteps and to love all of those around us. We are called to offer up little daily struggles and afflictions in love to Him and to return His love to all humanity.

They have such a loving and joyful countenance. The St. Therese necklace is a fundraiser for them as they are opening up a foster home for the elderly. FREE Precious Blood of Jesus Coloring Page

Well, here is the coloring page that was supposed to be for July in honor of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus.

I would like to share with you a beautiful book I am reading called The Blessed Eucharist Our Greatest Treasure you can find it over at Tan Books and it also comes in an e-book format.  There are so many beautiful stories and accounts of the Eucharist in this book and it surely is my favorite read so far this year.

The Assumption in Art and a Sweet Little Treat

This beautiful paiting is titled The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin by Peter Paul Rubens. I just love how this old master depicted the Assumption here. Can you imagine the agony our lady had to endure without her beloved Jesus being with her for the duration of her earthly life? I can only imagine the  joy with which she must have been anticpating being reunited with our Lord. In this painting her eyes are looking towards heaven and her hand is resting across her loving mothers heart as if she can hardly contain the joy in her heart!!!
